As of today, 19.5 percent of Thurston County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as vaccine allocation to licensed providers in the county continues to increase.

Additionally, 11.87 percent of county residents are fully vaccinated, said Thurston County Public Health and Social Services Director Schelli Slaughter today.

Slaughter said that in the coming week, Thurston County vaccine providers are expected to receive 11,380 doses. The allocation is divided among Public Health and Social Services and other licensed vaccine providers, like health care facilities and pharmacies. Within the last week, the county received 9,710 doses.

PHSS hosted mass vaccination events at the South Puget Sound Community College campus, with more events planned there starting Wednesday and spanning throughout the weekend. Registration has opened for Wednesday’s vaccination event. To find updated information on vaccination events and registration information, check out PHSS’s Facebook page.
